Xara Web Designer

- Web Design for the Rest of Us?

The software makers Xara who brought us Xtreme 4 and 3D Graphics have unveiled a new Web Design product. It promises to be all new, WYSIWYG, drag & drop, no html coding skills required. When I went to their website,

their home page has 200 code validation errors and it falls apart when text size is increased in browser. Incredibly, if they can't get their home page to work right, what does that say about their product?

I explored their site a little more and I found this page which is their "Outsider Newsletter."

There appears to be some good information here but holy mother of Moses! A whopping 1300+ validation errors on a single page! I didn't think it possible, but here it is - as checked by W3.org on-line code validation system.

It can't get much worse than that or can it? We'll have to wait and see. I'm downloading the trial version of Xara's Web Designer right now... Hopefully their Web Designer software is able to produce better code than their web designer person.
